ANTRAM says energy efficiency will mark transport in 2019
Portugal
ANTRAM presented this Monday (21 January) its training plan for the year 2019, revealing that energy efficiency will be one of its major strategic foci and a trend " with significant impact on the day-to-day transport company".

According to the association, this year "will be marked by a commitment to the implementation of systems, processes and procedures which, accompanied by better preparation of employees with appropriate behavioural and operational skills, allow for the reduction of energy consumption of vehicles and the reduction of road accidents ."

Last year, antram launched the "efficient driving" course, with defensive, economic and environmental driving techniques and is distinguished by monitoring driving behaviour. "Monitoring the change in behaviour and the alert for more efficient and safe driving techniques allow for a significant and sustainable reduction in fuel consumption", it also says the association, which shows that 'efficient driving' training should be one of the Better investments that transport companies can make during 2019, with significant impact on fleet consumption ".

"The concern for energy efficiency is also due to the fact that companies consuming more than 550 000 litres of diesel / year are obliged to carry out an energy audit and energy rationalisation plans, setting targets for reducing consumption For periods of three years. This service, provided by antram, allows companies considered to be intensive energy users to comply with the legislative obligations laid down in the energy consumption management regulation (RGCE). Through effective monitoring, which involves the promotion of an energy efficiency working group and which analyses and proposes measures to reduce energy consumption, the association prepares resources for more efficient practices."

Another of the formations formations in 2019 by antram is part of the changes envisaged in the new collective labour contract (CCTV) of the sector. According to this contract, employers are required to bear the costs of maintaining the legal certification of access to the profession of their workers, such as the renewal of the driver's Certificate (CAM) and the training for the Transport of dangerous goods (ADR).
