APDL introduces the Single Port Card in Leixões and Viana do Castelo

 

The APDL - Administration of the Ports of the Douro, Leixões and Viana do Castelo will introduce the Single Port Card (CUP) in the Port of Leixões already starting next Monday, April 2nd. With this, all the professionals of the port activity see simplified the processes of authorization of access to the International Zone of the Port of Leixões.

 

The Single Port Card is an electronic port credential platform, which acts as a one-stop shop for the management of credentials for timely and permanent access to areas that require articulation with the Port Authority and the SEF. This platform, in addition to enabling the request, monitoring and obtaining an access credential, sends notifications by e-mail and SMS, to alert to some insufficiency of the request or to communicate that the same process is already concluded. These notifications will translate into a reduction of the waiting time of the actors and the elimination of trips by accesses not yet authorized.

 

The APDL also announced that, by June 2018, the CUP will also manage the remaining facilities of the APDL, such as the Port of Viana do Castelo, the Logistics Platform of the Port of Leixões or the Cruise Terminal.
