Soon, all matters related to vessels and seafarers can be dealt with online, through the Sea Electronic Counter.

 

The DGRM is responsible for the implementation and management of another measure of digitization and dematerialisation of processes, now with the operation of the National Vessel and Maritime System and the Electronic Sea Counter.

 

If, up to now, information on obtaining titles, surveys, certification and registration of vessels (including recreational craft), or relating to the registration of seafarers, implies a quasi via sacra, in the future announces the DGRM, citizens and companies may request, at any time of the day, the services of the DGRM and associated entities, and to receive, in the same way, the respective responses. The solution to be implemented will be integrated with the internal systems of the DGRM, the DGAM, the Registry and Notary Institute and other related entities, which will allow the requests to be forwarded to the different entities, depending on their nature, quickly and dematerialized

 

 

The decree-law that determines the creation of the National System of Vessels and Mariners and of the Electronic Balcony of the Sea was published today in Diário da República.
