France: border controls.

According to some sources of information, the French government is preparing to extend border controls on its land borders for another 6 months, ie between 1 May and 31 October.
We recall that these border controls were reintroduced after the terrorist attacks that took place in Paris in November 2015. Since then, this measure has been renewed in six-month periods, as defined in the Schengen rules. As in the past, this type of controls will greatly affect the free transit of goods, with long waiting times at borders such as La Junqueira and Irún.
The official confirmation of this measure is awaited at any time.
