The Port of Lisbon received yesterday, July 24, the visit of a delegation from the Embassy of Colombia, led by the Commercial Counselor, Maria Cristina Pimiento. The reception was headed by Lídia Sequeira, President of the Administration of the Port of Lisbon (APL).
The visit of the delegation of the Colombian Embassy takes place in the context of deepening the "knowledge about the Port of Lisbon", with the aim of "better preparing the participation of a delegation from the Port of Cartagena in the events of Portugal Shipping Week, which will take place in Lisbon between the next 17 to 21 September », informed the APL.
According to the APL's note, the visit served to discuss "various issues related to freight and passenger traffic, as well as future opportunities for the development of relations between the two countries, and particularly the strengthening of traffic with the Port of In particular in the area of ??vegetables and wine.
The Colombian delegation was received at the APL headquarters, at the Gare Marítima de Alcântara, where a brief presentation was made on the Port of Lisbon, its terminals and port activities, and then visited the VTS Tower in Algés, particularly the control room of the Vessel Traffic Service '.
