Portugal
The newspaper "Açoriano Oriental" highlights the ambition of Ana Paula Vitorino, who intends that the Portuguese ports, without forgetting the islands, should be prepared in the near future for the arrival of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The minister of the Sea argues that the bet on LNG will improve "environmental performance and create more jobs".

"I will continue to make efforts to support the implementation of business missions. As can be seen, the national strategy for the sea 2013-2020 is being implemented, "said Ana Paula Vitorino. "In this way we will be building a resilient and sustainable economic future, with more attractive jobs for the Portuguese", justified on 12 October, the ruler who leads the folder of the Sea.

During her speech, the minister also reminded that the Executive has already given the green light for the implementation of 10-year plans, worth 2.5 billion euros, with a view to increasing the competitiveness of the Sea sector - of this total value , 83% will come from private. The plans will contribute, he explained, to increase the 'efficient capacity of the logistics chain, which is expected to increase by 200% in cargo'.
