Thomas Edison's phrase, applied to the age of the electric revolution in mobility, can mean just that. An energy paradigm shift. The age of electric mobility, whether it is individual transportation or commercial or collective transportation, is a tremendous challenge, but it is no longer a matter of mere debate on social networks between electric mobility enthusiasts and their detractors. The electric car, for example, is no longer even a mirage. It's an inevitability. Proof of this is that the world's top automakers are preparing to launch dozens of new electric models and spend billions on research.

 

It remains only to know the speed with which this energy paradigm transition will be made and the consequences that this revolution will bring to the economy, geopolitics and people's lives. The decarbonization of the economy is starting to be a new economic activity and this is the best guarantee that it will even happen. Briefly electric cars will have extended autonomy, fast shipments, affordable prices and advantageous conditions of acquisition and circulation. When that happens, the era of fossil fuels in the world of mobility will have its days counted.
