Yilport Leixões consolidates Portuguese leadership in import-export and highlights growth in the Port of Leixões

Although the national port movement slowed down in the first two months of the year compared to the same period in 2017, both the Port of Leixões and Yilport Leixões entered the new year to counteract the general trend until February - Leixões «recorded the best start of the year with a total of 3.1 million tonnes, up 5% on that of January-February last year, "the company said.
 
According to a note on its official website, the concessionaire says that, in terms of container handling, "there was a 10% overall drop in the first two months of the year, totaling 450,816 TEU", noting that " handled 94,006 TEU to its account, practically the same volume of the same period last year.
 
'It is also worth mentioning the increase in ro-ro cargo handling, particularly in Leixões, also with the intervention of Yilport Leixões'. As a balance sheet, reports the concessionaire that "reinforced its market share and so did Yilport Leixões, consolidating itself as the first Portuguese container terminal in import-export".
